The Arts and Humanities Division is seeking qualified candidates to join their team to teach the following courses:

AR 140 – Computer Graphics

An introductory course for students with little or no computer graphics background. Students will learn how various computer software and hardware components can be used to enhance creative expression. This course is specially designed for those students needing to develop their creative abilities using the computer. To enroll in this course, a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud may be required.

AR 240 – Digital Imagery

A course in digital photographic manipulation and design, intended for students who already possess a basic understanding of computer graphics. Students will learn how to acquire, manipulate, and enhance digital images using current technology. Prerequisite: AR 140

Ideal candidates will bring undergraduate teaching and/or industry experience and share the College’s commitment to educating a racially and socioeconomically diverse student population.

Classes begin Spring 2024 and will be taught in-person.

Minimum Requirements

Master’s degree required in closely related field. Previous instructional experience preferred.

Salary and Benefit Information

Starting salary $900 per credit hour (x 3 credit course, January to May) and will be commensurate with education and teaching experience. Some benefits include New York State Retirement options, supplemental retirement and life insurance options, and employee tuition waiver.
