The position entails a specific teaching agenda that aligns with activities described in Dr. Veljko Dubljevic’s NEH AI Center grant.

- Developing and teaching new courses for the AI ethics graduate minor
- Organizing networking events
- Broadly promoting AI ethics scholarship.
Other Work/Responsibilities
The successful candidate will also assist with a special issue of a scholarly journal on the ethics of Large Language Models and pursue a research agenda in this domain and other forms of AI and be guided by Dr. Dubljevic. A presentation given once per semester will summarize progress in this arena and should result in one or more scholarly outcomes.

Undergraduate teaching experience. Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Doctoral project/dissertation that demonstrates ability to perform close readings of texts. Experience as instructor of record preferred (though experience as teaching assistant acceptable). Preference given to candidates who incorporate study of state-of-the-art research in AI ethics into their scholarship and/or teaching. Training/education: Experience mentoring undergraduate students desired. Motivation to teach, mentor, conduct and publish research and/or scholarship expected.
