Job Description
Holy Cross College’s Mission: The Mission of Holy Cross College is to educate and form global citizens with the competence to see and the courage to act. Holy Cross is a Catholic college that advances the apostolic mission of the Brothers of Holy Cross. Our practical, experiential, liberal arts curriculum applies timeless truths to contemporary life and leads people to wholeness in the image of Christ.
Our hiring practices reflect this missional commitment to being a Christ-centered institution.
All administrators, faculty and staff are called to assist students in their formation to be Christ-like students and thus must embrace and advance the Holy Cross mission of the College in all professional activities.
Typical Schedule: This is a full-time tenure track faculty position to begin July 2025 in the department of business with the rank of assistant or associate commensurate with prior teaching and professional experience.
Purpose: We are looking for terminal degree holders in finance, management, marketing or related business fields with a desire to make a difference by elevating how we form business students. You will have a passion for teaching undergraduate students and a clear commitment to the Catholic liberal arts context in which students learn at the College. Holy Cross’s multinational faculty, staff, and student body collaborate to create a unique learning environment where mission permeates our approach to student formation. As such, the successful candidate will approach business education in an interdisciplinary way, connecting business with the liberal arts.
Successful Holy Cross students will graduate not only with a rigorous grounding in their primary area of study, but also with the ability to connect those skills to understanding the needs of our broader world, and to the development of solutions in service to the common good, thereby providing them with the knowledge, skills, and disposition necessary for personal and professional success.
The department offers a robust, nurturing, tenure development program that is designed for success. Through formal sessions, cohort development, mentoring, strategic course assignment and research/professional development budgets, our investments help ensure our tenure track faculty development participants enjoy a rewarding and successful career.
Essential Job Duties:
- Teach 12 credit hours per semester across majors within and beyond the Holy Cross Business Department and contribute to curricular innovation and administration in alignment with the College’s mission.

This will be implemented in ways which tangibly buttress the College’s efforts to form scholars, citizens, leaders, and disciples.
- Cultivate opportunities for student programming that reinforce the curricular tactics mentioned above. Examples include cultivating experiential learning opportunities with local business and community organizations, student research, seminars, simulations, competitions, field-study, etc.
- Participate in the life of the College with service and other responsibilities to meet the needs of the department and College.
Minimum Education, Skills, and Ability:
- Terminal degree in the discipline.
