Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Assistant Coordinator (AC) will work as a member of the CARE To Stop Violence Prevention Education team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to co-instructing the PEER312 and PEER322 courses, delivering the Step-Up Bystander intervention programming, and administering power-based violence prevention programming to faculty/staff, students and the campus community. The AC will assist with planning and implementing SA prevention efforts and special events related to sexual assault prevention. The AC will help to train interns and undergraduate Peer Educators. The AC will assist with program evaluation and the collection and maintenance of program data for education and advocacy services. The position will include some evening and weekend hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree .

Experience:
  • Experience working in Power Based Violence prevention and content development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently.

Preferences:

Preferences:
  • Master’s degree is preferred in public health, social work, public policy, or related disciplines.
  • Experience as or working with peer educators.
  • Familiarity with bystander intervention, responding to disclosures, trauma-informed education, and college health risk determinants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Duty/Responsibility (1): | Contribute to the planning, development and implementation of sexual misconduct prevention training, including bystander intervention and other prevention education programs. Oversee day-to-day logistics and programming of Step Up! Bystander Intervention program. Co-lead the Student Leader Summit, train fraternity and sorority students during homecoming and springfest workshops, facilitate training for student athletes, resident assistants, orientation leaders, and training for teaching assistants, graduate students, faculty and staff as well.

Salary range is $54,960 – $68,700.
