Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking a full-time Cosmetology Instructor to teach with the flexibility to teach Cosmetic Arts courses as needed. The Cosmetology Instructor is a full-time faculty member who is responsible for conducting assigned day and/or evening classes of instruction. The Cosmetology Instructor participates in maintaining the curriculum in a comprehensive, current, and employer-responsive manner while observing all infection control and regulatory board expectations.
Required Education/Experience:
- A.A.S. Degree
- Current North Carolina Licensure as a Cosmetology Instructor.
- Current North Carolina cosmetology license.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with technology in the classroom, including e-books, Pivot-Point L.A.B., Blackboard (or similar programs). School management applications for keeping grades, performances and time clock management for students.
- Knowledge of NC State Board of Cosmetic Arts, rules and regulations
- Knowledge of MS Office Applications and cloud based file management.
- Must be committed to the open door philosophy and have excellent team building skills.
