The teaching load is two or three 4-unit courses per semester (a cycle of 2-2-2-3 over two years), including Core and Journalism courses in reporting, writing, digital media production, ethics and/or history of the genre. LMU values the teacher-scholar-practitioner educator model and offers a pre-tenure sabbatical and opportunities to apply for research funding and to hire undergraduate research assistants. Interest in and valuing the University's mission, citizenship and engagement are important for faculty at LMU.
