Position Summary

 

Salary: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 based on ACCS Board of Trustees Salary Schedule C-3 and experience.

This is a full-time position that will provide leadership, training, and professional development for instructional faculty. This position will work in conjunction with instructional administrators and faculty to develop and implement a dynamic and comprehensive professional development program.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Act as the primary leader for all aspects of faculty development initiatives, including coordinating with department heads, faculty members, and other stakeholders to identify needs, develop strategies, and implement programs effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with the Dean of Instruction and other relevant stakeholders to design, develop, and refine a comprehensive professional development program tailored to the specific needs and goals of the institution and its faculty members.
  • Implement a robust system for evaluating the effectiveness of professional development programs, including collecting and analyzing data on participant satisfaction, learning outcomes, and other relevant metrics to continuously assess and improve the quality and impact of the programs offered.
  • Provide guidance and support to faculty members involved in various faculty support initiatives, such as mentoring programs, orientation sessions, and instructional workshops.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all faculty professional development activities, including attendance records, program evaluations, and any relevant feedback or insights gathered.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for the Dean of Instruction and other stakeholders to communicate the progress, outcomes, and impact of faculty development efforts.
  • Recognizing the diverse needs and schedules of part-time faculty members, develop specialized training programs tailored to their unique circumstances.
  • Implement a variety of delivery methods for all faculty training, including in-person workshops, online modules, webinars, and self-paced learning resources.
  • Develop comprehensive orientation programs specifically for part-time faculty members to familiarize them with institutional policies, procedures, and resources.
  • Establish mentorship programs pairing new faculty members with experienced colleagues or instructional support staff to provide ongoing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Serves as a member of the Instructional Academic Council.
  • Serves on other committees as assigned.
  • Fulfills other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the President, Vice President, or Dean of Instruction.

 

Qualifications

 

Education: Master’s degree from an accredited institution required.

Experience: Minimum of three years of full-time experience in postsecondary education required. Familiarity in instructional design and/or instructional technology preferred.
