Faculty positions at Augustana are those that have been granted status as faculty members by the Provost and the university President. Position Title: Assistant Clinical Professor of Accounting

Position Type: Full-Time

Department: School of Business

The School of Business at Augustana University invites applications for a non-tenure-track Assistant Clinical Professor of Accounting beginning Fall 2024.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Support the School of Business’ course offerings in Accounting at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Teaching load is three classes in the Fall and Spring semesters and one course in the January term.
• Demonstrate a record of professional development and upkeep with the changing industry trends.
• Contribute to student success through advising and mentoring.
• Engage in service to the department, university, and community.
• Outreach with local and regional businesses.

Required Qualifications:

• The successful candidate will have a terminal degree in Accounting or a related field. Candidates with a Master’s degree, CPA certification, and professional experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated experience teaching in Accounting at the university level is preferred, but a desire to teach is acceptable.

Interacting with students, faculty and leadership with different backgrounds and points of view and a deep appreciation of and respect for academic values and culture must be a top value of the candidate.
