Basic Statement of Responsibilities |
The teacher is responsible for teaching students through formal and informal classroom and/or laboratory/ clinic activities in an atmosphere compatible with the philosophies, goals and objectives of the college. This job description is an addendum to the Faculty Job Description.

Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts Required, Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Culinary Arts or other related field preferred; ServSafe Certification Required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
Knowledge of (Windows) applications Microsoft Office Suite, and college used software (Learning Management System), written and oral communication skills, independent worker with time management and organizational skills, critical and creative thinking skills. Knowledgeable of work skills and etiquette for work professionalism and classroom subject matter. Ability to implement conflict resolution and to work with a wide diversity of students. Ability to be flexible and work in an occasionally fast paced, stress-filled environment.

Working Conditions |
Some of the work is sedentary; also requires standing/walking for long periods of time in a busy foodservice environment. Occasional periods of light to medium work may be required. Travel may be required to other campuses, educational sites, off campus meetings, and training workshops and seminars.

Physical Effort Required |
Most of the job is sedentary, occasional periods of light work may be required. Occasional lifting of classroom equipment and restaurant supplies around 20lbs.
