Adjunct Faculty/Pharmacy Technician
About Westchester Community College:
Westchester Community College was founded in 1946 as the New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in White Plains. In 1957, the County of Westchester bought the 360-acre John Hartford estate in Valhalla and designated 218 acres for the community college. Westchester Community College is more than just the county's largest educational institution. Seeking energetic and engaging Adjunct Faculty to teach in the Pharmacy Technician program. Adjunct Faculty may teach all or part of the lecture and laboratory practice training. ability to establish a rapport with students and maintain an environment that supports learning and promotes student retention is also required. The successful candidate must be highly organized and detail oriented.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a Master's degree is required. A minimum of one year of pharmacy work experience is required. Teaching or training experience is also required. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in life/health science and certification as a pharmacy technician with a minimum of 4 years' experience is strongly preferred. Experience teaching adult learners is also preferred.
HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $82.57 per hour. No benefits.
